Because around-the-clock care is essential in our residential disability support work, we seek individuals willing to contribute positively to our community by being available for at least one night shift per month.

Who is I Am Here?

We’re a disability support NDIS provider in Newcastle, New South Wales (NSW), enhancing the lives of people with acquired brain injury, cerebral palsy, and physical, intellectual, and other disabilities. We support guests and residents with individualised respite and supported independent living (SIL) packages tailored to suit their needs, with high-quality short-, mid-, and long-term accommodation.

How to apply for our disability care jobs

Selection criteria:

  • Demonstration of our values - see Our Story page

  • Delivery of high-quality and personalised care to people with a disability

  • Ability to interact with others in a personable and professional manner

  • Work to a 24/7 roster including an expectation of occasional night shifts (active and sleepover shifts are available)

  • High-level communication skills (written and verbal), for clear and accurate record-keeping and comprehensive delivery of handovers

  • Capable of using software programs including Microsoft Office Suite, care management software, and smartphone apps

Mandatory requirements:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance

  • Working with Children Check (Employment)

  • First Aid certificate and updated CPR

  • Complete vaccinations including full COVID, MMR, DPT, Hep B

  • NSW Driver Licence

  • NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate

  • COVID-19 Infection Control Certificate
